Yes, there is an IKEA lamp called “SØREN” - while I don’t dabble in product design, I am here to to brighten up the world of communication design.



Hi there, I’m Sören! 

I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design at HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd, and I’m all about Editorial, Branding, and 3D design. 


In July 2024, I wrapped up my bachelor’s thesis on “Safety at Illegal Raves” - a passion project where my team and I created two books, a collection of materials, and a website. This project was close to my heart, blending my love for culture, events, and impactful design. 


If I had to pick my number one design strength it would definitley be 3D, but who likes to think in pigeonholes? I also have a keen interest in exhibition design, and I’ve led two projects from the brainstorming phase to full-on creative implementation. My internship at Leftkiss in Graz gave me a solid foundation in practical skills like social media management, organizing shoots, and working independently on branding projects. Plus, I got to work on a real client project during my semester abroad – a poster exhibition on climate change in Austria. These experiences also showed me how much I thrive on being involved in every step of a project – from conception to design, to execution and like to approach design projects from a holistic perspective. 


When I'm not rendering I like to learn new things and am always keen on connecting new skills and ideas with that which I already know.

In that, design isn’t the only thing that fuels my creativity. I’m currently getting into music production to create tracks for my DJ sets, and I’m setting up a small screen-printing workshop after catching the bug during my internship. For me learning new things isn’t just a way to stay current; it’s a passion that keeps me inspired in all areas of my life.


And hey, life’s not all work and no play. Right now, I’m into bouncy techno, Eurodance/Trance, organizing parties (and raves), and playing spike ball. When I’m out with friends, I love capturing moments on camera – the kind I’ll look back on with a smile in 20 years.
